چکیده

SXP 15.3 and 305 are two Be X-ray binaries in the Small Magellanic Cloud that spatially separated by ~7 arcsec. The small separation between these sources has, past, resulted confusion about origin of emission from combined region. We present long-term optical monitoring results both sources, where we study historic recent behaviour. In particular, data collected as part S-CUBED project see repeating outbursts region lightcurve Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory, investigate this emission. Using H-alpha line Southern African Large Telescope (SALT) photometric flux Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment (OGLE) to changes size structure disc, demonstrate likely originates 15.3. SXP 323 - an unusual X - ray binary system in the Small Magellanic Cloud ⋆

Spectroscopic observations taken with the VLT/UVES telescope/instrument are presented of the unusual Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) X-ray binary system SXP 323 = AX J0051-733. This system shows a clear modulation at 0.71d in long term optical photometry which has been proposed as the binary period of this system. The high resolution optical spectra, taken at a range of phases during the 0.71d cyc...

Treatment Strategy Based on Multimodal Management Outcome of Cavernous Sinus Dural Arteriovenous Fistula (CSDAVF)

PURPOSE Angiographic finding including venous drainage pattern should be correlated to the presenting symptom pattern (SxP) in CSDAVF. We present outcome of CSDAVF management and suggest a strategy according to SxP and type of treatment based on our experience. MATERIALS AND METHODS We evaluated SxP, angiographic type (proliferative, restrictive or late restrictive), mode of treatment (emboli...

Relationships between IgE/IgG4 Epitopes, Structure and Function in Anisakis simplex Ani s 5, a Member of the SXP/RAL-2 Protein Family

BACKGROUND Anisakiasis is a re-emerging global disease caused by consumption of raw or lightly cooked fish contaminated with L3 Anisakis larvae. This zoonotic disease is characterized by severe gastrointestinal and/or allergic symptoms which may misdiagnosed as appendicitis, gastric ulcer or other food allergies. The Anisakis allergen Ani s 5 is a protein belonging to the SXP/RAL-2 family; it i...

Wide-band Simultaneous Observations of Pulsars: Disentangling Dispersion Measure and Profile Variations

Dispersion in the interstellar medium is a well known phenomenon that follows a simple relationship, which has been used to predict the time delay of dispersed radio pulses since the late 1960s. We performed wide-band simultaneous observations of four pulsars with LOFAR (at 40–190 MHz), the 76-m Lovell Telescope (at 1400 MHz) and the Effelsberg 100-m Telescope (at 8000 MHz) to test the accuracy...

Chandra observations of the accretion-driven millisecond X-ray pulsars XTE J0929–314 and XTE J1751–305 in quiescence

We observed the accretion-driven millisecond X-ray pulsars XTE J0929–314 and XTE J1751–305 in their quiescent states using Chandra. From XTE J0929– 314 we detected 22 source photons (in the energy range 0.3–8 keV) in ∼24.4 ksec, resulting in a background-corrected time-averaged count rate of 9±2×10 counts s. The small number of photons detected did not allow for a detailed spectral analysis of ...
